Spring: leave room for a change of plan

Spring brings changing temperatures and flowering landscapes. Choose a base for the places you want to visit, then keep your flower-viewing day flexible: a seasonal photograph cannot promise blooms on your dates.

Choose the everyday route first

Check the walk between your accommodation, its useful station exit, and places to eat. A beautiful park nearby is a bonus; it does not replace a workable arrival route with luggage.

Pack for more than the afternoon

Mornings and evenings can feel cooler than daytime outings. Bring layers, and check the current forecast close to departure instead of packing from a seasonal average.

Ask the property

Confirm bedding, room heating or cooling controls, and luggage storage for your specific booking. These features vary by property and room, even within the same neighbourhood.
