Summer preparation
Choose a stay with a rainy-day plan
Korea's summer can be hot, humid and rainy. Seasonal descriptions help with packing, but they cannot predict the weather on your arrival day or at your accommodation.
Look beyond the station distance
Check the actual route from a station exit to the entrance, including exposed walking sections and steps. Ask about drying clothes, laundry and luggage storage if those facilities matter to you. Confirm them for the selected property rather than assuming an entire area provides them.
Build an indoor alternative
Keep a nearby indoor activity and a simpler meal plan available. Check opening days and the journey between stops. An indoor destination may still involve outdoor walking, and a map's straight-line distance does not describe that route.
Check conditions again
Read Korea Meteorological Administration forecasts and warnings close to departure. Follow official closures and transport notices. Keep cancellation terms separate from weather expectations, and ask your booking provider about the terms for disruptions.
